The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: The unprecedented participation in massive Tiranga Yatras across every nook and corner of Jammu & Kashmir has sent a resounding message of unity, patriotism, and unwavering love for the nation, said Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge, J&K BJP.

Dr. Mahotra stated that these overwhelming scenes directly refute the long-propagated claims of certain politicians, who, for years, played with the sentiments of people with the fuel of separatism at the behest of forces across the border. “Former CM Mehbooba Mufti had once remarked that if Article 370 was ever touched, there would be no one left to hoist the Tiranga in J&K. Today, the massive crowds waving the national flag in every district, from school children to senior citizens are the strongest and most fitting reply to such baseless claims,” he said.

Highlighting the widespread participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign also, particularly in the Kashmir Valley, Dr. Mahotra noted that this enthusiasm is a living testimony to the region’s commitment to national unity, peace, and prosperity. “Even the call by CM Omar Abdullah urging people to respect the Tiranga beyond Independence Day reflects the changing mindset and a collective aspiration for a brighter future,” he added.

He credited the transformation in J&K’s security and socio-political environment to the strong and decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the effective governance of the Lieutenant Governor’s administration. “The firm crackdown on terrorism and separatism has brought remarkable stability to the region, paving the way for development and opportunities for our youth,” Dr. Mahotra said.

He also underlined the significance of this year’s Independence Day, made even more special by the success of Operation Sindoor, which delivered a decisive blow to terrorism by dismantling cross-border terror infrastructure. “It is a proud moment for every Indian as we witness a new, confident, and united Jammu & Kashmir standing tall under the national flag,” he said.

Dr. Mahotra further said that the overwhelming participation in Tiranga Yatras is not just a celebration of Independence, but a reaffirmation of J&K’s commitment to the Indian nation and its golden future.
