In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

KATRA: National Service Scheme (NSS) unit volunteers of SMVDU Katra organized an awareness session on women hygiene for girl students of Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Panthal. The event was organized in collaboration with an NGO 'Live for others-Being Helpful Foundation'. It is pertinent to mention that the sanitary napkins were provided by the NGO.

NSS volunteers Suhani Sharma and Kritika briefed girls students about menstrual hygiene. Do's and don'ts during that period. NSS student coordinator Sadhvi Sharma discussed various points related to change in their routine lifestyle for personal development. Volunteer MridulSalaria sang a beautiful song during the event related to the topic. Afterwards, sanitary napkins were donated to the school girls.

Each girl was given two pads and a total of 200 sanitary napkins were donated by the NSS volunteers. The event was coordinated by student NSS coordinator, Sadhvi Sharma. NSS Programme coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar also attended the session. Principal, Smt. Renuka Sharma appreciated the efforts of NSS SMVDU unit for organizing the event.
