The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir Headquarters Incharge and State General Secretary Sanjita Dogra said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving rapidly towards building a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat). She appealed to women to play an active role in taking the Central Government’s welfare schemes to every household.

Sanjita Dogra was addressing a mahila sammelan organized by the Kashmir Displaced District BJP on the theme “Atmanirbhar Bharat.” The event was held under the leadership of District President Rajiv Pandita, and was attended by district prabhari and other office bearers. A large number of women participated in the sammelan.

In her address, Dogra said that women are the foundation of society, and when they are educated, confident, and economically empowered, both society and the nation become stronger. She added that the Modi government has launched and implemented several historic schemes such as the Mudra Yojana, Stand Up India, and Ujjwala Yojana to promote women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment.

Appreciating the contribution of women from the displaced community, she said their dedication and struggle despite hardships are inspirational. She urged all women to advance the vision of a self-reliant India both personally and socially. On this occasion, District Prabhari Chand Ji Bhat said that the BJP has always been committed to women’s empowerment, and the party is taking concrete steps to promote women in politics, social service, and employment.

District Vice President Dolly Raina stated that women’s empowerment is not just a slogan but a social movement that every woman should embrace. District General Secretary M.L. Bhat urged women to become self-reliant through small-scale self-employment and contribute to the development of society. District President Rajiv Pandita said that such programs help raise awareness among women and inspire them to take an active part in nation-building.  Sanjeeta Dogra, along with other office bearers, reaffirmed the pledge of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and resolved to work collectively for the upliftment and empowerment of women.
