SRINAGAR: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Police in Budgam have seized a total of 92 vehicles including 59 Tippers, 03 JCB and 10 LNT  20 tractors which were involved in the illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals in the month of July 2024 . Budgam Police along with the Mineral Department also realised fine in lacs for illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals in the district.

Budgam Police is committed to act tough against these violators. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood.
