KATRA: The three-day University Annual Festival “Ekatva ’26” began on a vibrant note with its inauguration ceremony held on campus. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the festival, while Prof. Balbir Singh attended as the Guest of Honour.In his address, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the enthusiasm of students and congratulated the organizing team for bringing together such a diverse and engaging festival.

He encouraged students to actively participate in the various academic, cultural, and technical activities planned during the festival, highlighting that such events play an important role in nurturing creativity, teamwork, and leadership.

The ceremony started with a welcome address by Dr. Sakshi Arora, Coordinator warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students and briefly spoke about the spirit and objectives of the festival. Dr. R. K. Mishra, Dean Student Welfare, also addressed the gathering and commended the efforts of the organizing team and student volunteers.

The festival is being organized under the Board of Professional Activities, with overall coordination by Dr. Mir Irfan-ul-Haq, Coordinator and Dr. Ankush Raina, President, Board of Professional Activities, who have been instrumental in planning the three-day event.The inaugural ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sunny Kumar Sharma, Coordinator expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, organizers, and participants for their support and presence.

The festival “Ekatva ’26”, being held from 9–11 March 2026, will feature a variety of academic competitions, exhibitions, cultural performances, and technical events, creating a lively platform for students to showcase their talents and celebrate the spirit of unity and innovation.
