• Stresses on timely disposal of cases under PSGA and efficient delivery of other public services

BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of Revenue services across all tehsils of the district. 

The meeting was held at the DC Office Complex, Budgam, and attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Mehraj ud din shah, ACR Budgam, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), AC Defence, Tehsildars, NTs and other Revenue officials. ACR budgam briefed the chair regarding overall scenario of the district with regard to revenue services.

The DC emphasized the need for 100% digitization of Jamabandis to enhance transparency and efficiency in land records management. He directed all Revenue officials to prioritize clearing pendency under various heads and ensure prompt service delivery to the general public at all Revenue offices across the district.

The DC instructed officers to assess rejected and reverted cases under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) in their respective jurisdictions. He stressed that disposal of these cases should be carried out in a time-bound manner, ensuring that citizens do not face unnecessary delays.

The DC also reviewed the status of work on the Administrative infrastructure projects of Tehsil Office, BK Pora and Niabats of Nagam, Soibugh, and Kachwari. He directed the concerned officers to maintain close coordination with executing agencies to ensure completion of these projects so as to dedicate them to public.

The DC reiterated the importance of responsive governance and emphasized that Revenue officials must remain proactive in addressing public grievances. Regular monitoring and adherence to timelines were stressed to uphold the standards of service delivery.

He also reviewed the status of disposal of land acquisition related cases, fencing of State land, disposal of cases on Revenue Court Cases, Management Portal, disposal of inheritance mutations, maintenance of stock registry and issuance of various certificates such as income and category and other related file records at Revenue offices.

The DC directed all Revenue officers to uphold accountability, ensure efficient service delivery, and remain committed to the welfare of the district’s citizens. During the meeting, the DC also directed officers to ensure interdepartmental coordination for identification and demarcation of land for the remaining Panchayat Ghars across the district, so that the necessary infrastructure can be developed in a timely manner.
