JAMMU: Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar visited JhajjarKotli today to review the functioning of local health facilities and assess the preparedness of medical teams catering tourists and local residents in the area.
The Director inspected the Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) at JhajjarKotli and interacted with the medical and paramedical staff. He reviewed the availability of essential drugs, diagnostic kits, and emergency services. The Director emphasized maintaining round-the-clock emergency care, especially considering the tourist influx at JhajjarKotli.
The DHSJ also took stock of sanitation, waste management and drinking water facilities within and around the health centre premises. He directed the staff to ensure a clean and patient-friendly environment and to strengthen preventive health measures against seasonal diseases.
While interacting with the staff and community members, the Director highlighted the importance of public health awareness, safe food practices and immediate medical response in case of emergencies near water bodies or picnic spots. He appreciated the dedication of the health staff and assured that all necessary support would be extended by the Directorate to upgrade facilities and ensure better healthcare delivery in the area.
