BARAMULLA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of works under the District Capex Budget 2025-26. While reviewing the progress, the DDC issued directions to ensure timely and effective implementation of developmental projects.
The DDC directed all line departments to achieve 100% utilization of funds released on BEAMS by the end of October 2025. Departments were also instructed to expedite the completion of ongoing works while strictly adhering to prescribed expenditure timelines.
To avoid procedural delays, all departments have been asked to complete procurement-related activities within one week. This measure aims to streamline project execution and ensure smooth implementation from approval to completion. The Rural Development Department (RDD) has been specifically instructed to fast-track tendering and allotment of all remaining works.
The DC emphasized that the execution of projects on the ground shall be closely monitored by Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Baramulla and Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Baramulla to ensure timely completion and effective utilization of funds.
Among others Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Uri, Chief Planning Officer Baramulla, Assistant Development Commissioner Baramulla, all Block Development Officers, Engineers and others District and sectoral officers were present in the meeting.
