AWANTIPORA: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining J&K Police seized 03 vehicles used in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Wuyun Khrew.
Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a Police party of Police Station Khrew headed by SHO Police Station Khrew seized three vehicles bearing registration JK19-9468, JK13B-9154 & JK15B-0013. Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 76/2025 under section 303(2), 223 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered in Police Station Khrew and further investigation has been initiated.
J&K Police reiterates its firm commitment to curb illegal mining and safeguard natural resources of the district. Citizens are urged to extend cooperation by reporting such unlawful activities. Confidentiality of informants will be ensured, and strict action shall be taken against violators as per law.
