DODA: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh and under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar and District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Nikshay Diwas was observed today across all health facilities of District Doda. The daylong activities featured Tuberculosis (TB) screening, sputum collection drives and awareness sessions to sensitize the general public about TB prevention, early detection and treatment under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).
The Health teams spread awareness about the importance of following TB treatment protocol and the availability of free diagnostic and treatment services under the NTEP. The Health staff across all institutions participated in the event ensuring maximum community outreach. The observance of Nikshay Diwas aims to strengthen community engagement and enhance public participation in the fight against tuberculosis.
