SRINAGAR: The Know Your Army Mela, organised by the CHINAR WARRIORS was held with great enthusiasm at the Helipad Ground, Panzgam Garrison. The event aimed to inspire and educate young minds about the valiant Indian Army, its operations, and career opportunities. 262 students from Classes VIII to XII participated in the event, which offered a unique and immersive experience.
The Mela showcased a variety of attractions, including an Equipment Display, providing students a glimpse of the Armyâs cutting-edge technology. The War Gallery and Perception Management Gallery highlighted the Armyâs glorious history and the life of a soldier.
One of the eventâs key highlights was the interaction with Gallantry Award winners, where students heard firsthand accounts of courage and dedication. Additionally, the Army Recruitment Office (ARO) Guidance Stand provided insights into career opportunities in the Armed Forces.
The Mela also featured engaging activities like a quiz and drawing competition, allowing students to express their creativity and test their knowledge. A spirited live performance by the Army Band enhanced the fervour and captivated the audience.
The event not only fostered awareness about the Indian Armyâs role in safeguarding the Nation but also left an indelible impression on the students, inspiring them to aspire for a life of discipline, service and honour. The Know Your Army Mela was a fitting tribute to the indomitable spirit of the Armed Forces, bridging the gap between the Army and the community.
