AWANTIPORA & GANDERBAL: In connection with Police Commemoration Day Observance, police inaugurated Exhibition highlighting the contribution of police martyrs in Awantipora, besides organized an Exhibition-Cum-Band Show in Ganderbal.

In Awantipora, the exhibition was inaugurated by DySP DAR Awantipora in which family members of Martyrs and respectables from different areas of PD Awantipora participated, and a floral tribute was paid to the Martyrs for their sacrifice in the line of duty for the nation. During exhibition, videos and stories about bravery of Martyrs were displayed wherein they attained martyrdom. At the outset of the exhibition, the participants were introduced to the concept of "Savera Cell".

In Ganderbal, the event was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal–JKPS, who emphasized the importance of remembering the supreme sacrifices of police personnel and fostering greater police-public understanding. Families of Police Martyrs, a large number of students and local residents attended the event with great enthusiasm. The District Police Pipe Band and Sainik School Manasbal Pipe Band presented captivating performances, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervour and reverence for the martyrs.

As part of the exhibition, a wide range of arms and police equipment were showcased for the students, offering them insight into the operational capabilities and role of the police in maintaining peace and security. SSP Ganderbal reiterated the department’s commitment to safeguarding public peace and urged youth to contribute positively towards the development of society while remembering the sacrifices of those who ensured a safe and secure nation. These events concluded amid applause and patriotic tunes, reflecting the spirit of unity and gratitude towards the brave hearts of the J&K Police.
