PULWAMA: As part of its ongoing public outreach initiative, Police in Pulwama conducted awareness programmes on the New Criminal Laws at two locations in the district to educate citizens about recent legal reforms.

The first programme was held at Kids Kingdom Public School, Rahmoo, and was presided over by DySP DAR, Pulwama. Students and faculty were briefed on key changes in the criminal justice framework, highlighting their impact on society and the importance of understanding one’s legal rights and duties.

The second programme took place at Litter Panchayat Ghar, presided over by SDPO Litter. Local residents, youth, and community leaders attended the session, which included an interactive discussion on the practical implementation of the new laws and the role of citizens in maintaining law and order.

J&K Police emphasized that these programmes are part of a district-wide awareness drive aimed at strengthening police-community relations, enhancing public trust, and ensuring people are informed about the country’s evolving legal landscape. The department reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such initiatives in schools, panchayats, and other public forums.
