  • Centre for NaMo Studies’s honours Best School Awards 2025-26 in New Delhi; Dedicated to Ratan Naval Tata

NEW DELHI:  The Indian Schools Convention 2026 at "Best School Award" was organised by the Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) at the India International Centre, New Delhi.  In the Urban Best Government School category, The Air Force School, New Delhi was awarded the Best School.

The Modern School Barakhamba Road and The Blossoms Schools Aligarh, Delhi World Public School Ashta, Madhya Pradesh and Banat Model School Gaya Bihar  were recognised as the Best Public School in the Urban and Semi Urban Best Public School in category.

The Best School Awards 2026 were conferred during the Convention which recognised outstanding institutions for their contribution to quality and inclusive education. In the rural – semi urban category, The M.A.H Inter College Ghazipur was honoured as the Best Government School, while The Real Life School Varanasi and Hanfia Islamia Institute Turka-Tachloo, Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir were recognised among the Best Middle Schools.

However, Dr. Alka Kapoor, Principal of Modern Public School Shalimar Bagh, was honoured with the Best Principal Award for 2025–26. The programme was graced by Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, former Governor of Assam, as the Chief Guest, who applauded the efforts of schools contributing towards quality and inclusive education in line with NEP 2020.

Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman, Centre for NaMo Studies, said, “The National Education Policy 2020 provides a transformative direction for India’s education system. It promotes holistic development, critical thinking, and skill-based learning. Through this convention, we are recognising institutions that embody these values and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.”

He further highlighted that such platforms play an important role in encouraging schools working across diverse regions and conditions to strive for excellence. The convention was also dedicated to the legacy of Ratan Naval Tata, whose vision and contributions continue to inspire generations.

Jury Committee Chairman Firoz Bakh Ahmed, shared that the selection process was conducted through a rigorous evaluation by the Jury Committee. “The awards were presented across four categories—Urban, Semi-Urban, Rural, and Semi-Rural—ensuring fair representation of schools from varied backgrounds,” he noted.

The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, former Chief Justice of Patna High Court, and Dr. Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed, President, Interfaith Harmony Foundation of India, as Principal Guests.
