• S. Tejinder Pal Singh Criticizes Previous BJP-led Government over Unemployment crisis

JAMMU: Senior leader and Provincial Secretary Jammu Sheikh Bashir Ahmad slammed the BJP for deliberately disempowering the democratic institutions in J&K by withholding full statehood and not empowering an elected government led by Omar Abdullah to run the state of affairs with freedom and accountability. "We are witnessing a dangerous trend where bureaucracy is being prioritised over democracy, and the aspirations of the people are being sidelined.

The people of Jammu & Kashmir deserve a government of their own—not remote control from Delhi". He was addressing YNC workers at Sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu. He said the BJP led government in the Centre has not fulfilled the commitment made in the Parliament and in the Supreme Court of India to restore the Statehood in J&K. Statehood is the right of the people of J&K, he added.

The joining programme was presided over by Provincial Secretary Sheikh Bashir Ahmed and was organized by Sardar Tejinder Pal Singh Aman Provincial President Jammu YNC in the presence of Provincial Vice President YNC Nitish Goswami, Zameer Qureshi, District President YNC Jammu Urban Sahil Kerni, and other youth leaders who warmly welcomed the new entrants into the party fold. A number of enthusiastic youth, including Kartik Ghai and his team, joined the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) at the Party Headquarters, Sher-E-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu, reaffirming their faith in the party’s vision of unity, development, and empowerment of youth.

Addressing a meeting of key youth leaders and office bearers in Jammu, Sheikh Bashir emphasized the need for grassroots mobilisation, disciplined coordination, and issue-based campaigning, especially among the younger electorate, who have been the worst sufferers of the broken promises made by the BJP post the abrogation of Article 370. "The BJP had promised that the abrogation of Article 370 would usher in development, jobs, and prosperity for Jammu. But all those promises have rung hollow. On the contrary, Jammu has been on the receiving end of losing jobs, missing out on contracts, and faring miserably on almost all developmental indicators,".

Addressing the meeting S. Tejinder Pal Singh Aman Provincial President Jammu YNC strongly criticized the previous BJP-led government for its total failure in addressing the growing issue of unemployment among the youth. He stated that despite tall promises, the previous administration failed to generate adequate Job opportunities , leaving a large section of the young population frustrated and directionless.

Mr Aman emphasized that the Omar- led government had launched several impactful aimed at the welfare of Youth, Women and senior citizens in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the Omar Abdullah led government multiple employment and skill development initiatives were introduced to empower the youger generation and provide them with sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Mr Aman has expressed deep concern over the growing drug menace affecting the youth. He stated that the alarming rise in drug addiction is primarily due to unemployment and lack of awareness among the younger generation. The YNC is committed to launching awareness campaigns, youth rehabilitation drives, and community-based interventions to combat the drug menace across Jammu. We will partner with civil society and the health department to offer real solutions," he said.
