PULWAMA & SOPORE: Under the Nasha Mukti J&K Abhiyan, J&K police organises a Cross-Country Marathon and an awareness march and enforcement activities in Pulwama & Sopore. In Pulwama, Police in collaboration with HSS Hawal and Holystar English Medium School Drusoo, organized a Cross-Country Marathon and an awareness march to promote a healthy, drug-free society.

The Cross-Country Marathon commenced from Social Forestry Office Arigam and culminated at District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and youth. The event reflected strong competitive spirit and awareness among participants. The winners were honoured with trophies and tokens of appreciation. Simultaneously, an awareness march was conducted from Holystar English Medium School Drusoo to District Police Office (DPO) Pulwama, where participants raised slogans against drug abuse. All participants were appreciated for their active involvement.

In Sopore, a series of awareness programmes and outreach initiatives were organised at multiple locations in collaboration with the Education Department. Programmes were held in Haritar and Dharnambal Tarzoo (Sub Division Sopore), witnessing active participation from students, local residents and other stakeholders. The awareness sessions and anti-drug rallies conducted at these locations remained interactive, with participants sharing their concerns and expressing strong support for sustained action against the drug menace. J&K Police, while continuing strong enforcement against drug trafficking, are simultaneously undertaking extensive awareness drives to address the issue at the societal level.

J&K Police reaffirmed their commitment to sustained awareness, community engagement and strict enforcement under the 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan to ensure a safer, healthier and drug-free society.
