GANDERBAL: Under the theme “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” and its continued efforts to strengthen professional capabilities and ensure effective handling of Narcotics-related Cases, Police today organized a comprehensive training session on NDPS Cases for Investigating Officers (IOs) of various Police Stations and Police Posts at the Conference Hall, District Police Office (DPO) Ganderbal.
The session was attended by Dy.SP Headquarters Ganderbal, Shri Umer Urfaan-JKPS, Senior Prosecuting Officers, along with other senior officers. During the session, the officers imparted detailed insights into the legal and procedural aspects of cases registered under the “Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances” (NDPS) Act. Emphasis was laid on proper investigation techniques, adherence to legal protocols, meticulous documentation, and ensuring foolproof evidence collection to ensure convictions in the court of law.
J&K Police remains committed to building a robust enforcement mechanism against drug trafficking and substance abuse. Such capacity-building initiatives are aimed at equipping officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively combat the menace of drugs and contribute towards the larger objective of a drug-free society under the ongoing “Nasha-Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.”
