JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Executive Member Raman Suri commended the relentless efforts of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that their determination will lead to the complete dismantling of the ecosystem supporting terrorism. He emphasized the need for unwavering commitment to eradicate terrorism, noting the whole-of-government approach adopted by the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
"Security agencies, including the Jammu and Kashmir Police, are taking exemplary action against those aiding and abetting terrorism. Their dedication is instrumental in bringing peace to the region, which is crucial for the development and brighter future of Jammu and Kashmir," Suri said. He lauded the synergy between the security forces and the administration, which has significantly reduced terrorism and promised the complete elimination of the remaining pockets of terrorism in the days to come.
Suri highlighted that stray incidents of terrorism, though sporadic, have failed to deter security agencies, which are hunting down terrorists with precision and determination. "The promise made by PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to establish complete peace in Jammu and Kashmir is being fulfilled steadily. Terrorism is on the decline, and the efforts of our security forces are a testament to their commitment to ensuring the safety and prosperity of the region," he added.
Focusing on development, Suri hailed the government's efforts in massively transforming infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. One of the landmark achievements, he noted, will be the direct rail connectivity to Srinagar in the near future. "This project will not only physically connect Srinagar with the rest of India but also symbolize the unbreakable bond of integration and unity. It will boost trade, tourism, and economic growth in the region, taking Jammu and Kashmir closer to realizing its true potential," Suri said.
On the issue of statehood, Suri clarified that it remains the prerogative of the Union Government and will be granted at an appropriate time. He accused the National Conference of misleading people by claiming otherwise, stating that such rhetoric is an attempt to divert attention from the region's developmental strides under the current administration. "The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve both peace and progress, and our government is ensuring them to get both.
Security forces are working tirelessly to eradicate terrorism, and the administration is steadfast in its mission to usher in an era of unparalleled growth and prosperity," Suri concluded. The massive development and eradication of terrorism reflects the BJP's confidence in its policies and the achievements of the security forces in creating a secure and thriving Jammu and Kashmir.
