JAMMU: As part of a series of special programmes periodically conducted by the Bharatiya Janata Party across the country, a one-day workshop on the "Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan" was organized in New Delhi. The purpose of this workshop was to acquaint party workers with the concept of a self-reliant India and to promote the spirit of economic empowerment among the people.
The workshop was organized under the leadership of BJP National General Secretary and National Convenor Arun Singh, while National Co-Coordinator and Jammu & Kashmir in-charge Alka Gujjar played a special role in the event. Several senior national leaders, including BJP National President J. P. Nadda, National Organizational General Secretary B.L. Santosh addressed different sessions and provided guidance to the party workers.
From the Jammu & Kashmir unit, BJP General Secretary Sanjita Dogra led the team as the coordinator for the workshop. She was accompanied by co-coordinators Rekha Mahajan, Arun Sharma, Dinesh Sharma, and Bilal Parre. During the workshop, speakers elaborated on the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). They emphasized that this is a national movement aimed at making India strong, independent, and sustainable on the global stage.
Senior leaders stated that the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat is to promote local production, create self-employment opportunities, support startups, and empower the youth through skill development. Through this campaign, the government aims to ensure that every citizen becomes economically self-reliant and that India progresses toward becoming a global leader.
On this occasion, party leaders also shared their thoughts and resolved to develop a strategic plan to implement this campaign at the grassroots level across the country, including in Jammu & Kashmir.
Sanjita Dogra, on her return from New Delhi, informed that various programmes under this campaign will be organized nationwide for three months, from September 25 to December 25. These programmes will also be conducted at the district and mandal (block) levels. In Jammu & Kashmir, teams have already been formed at the state, district, and mandal levels to carry this initiative forward.
