The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Raman Suri today lauded Army, Jammu Kashmir Police (JKP) and CRPF for neutralising two terrorists in Majalta area of district Udhampur in their joint operation and said the successful operation reflects the union government’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

Suri said that after the abrogation of article 370, there can be no tolerance for attempts to revive terrorism, disrupt peace or derail Jammu Kashmir’s journey towards development. he said the latest operation demonstrates that security forces are fully prepared to track down and neutralise those attempting to create fear and instability.

“The message is loud and clear: terrorism will not be allowed to dictate the future of Jammu Kashmir. The zero-tolerance policy of the union government has given our security forces the freedom, resources and resolve to act decisively against terror networks and their perpetrators,” Suri said. He paid rich tribute to the courage and professionalism of the security forces, who conducted the operation despite difficult terrain, adverse weather and poor visibility.

Raman Suri said that Jammu Kashmir today stands at an important turning point, with the focus increasingly shifting from terrorism and disruption to development, connectivity, tourism, investment, employment and opportunities for the youth. “The people of Jammu Kashmir want peace and progress, and that is precisely the direction in which the region is moving. every attempt to push the Union Territory (UT) backwards will be firmly confronted,” he said.

He further said that the fight against terrorism and the development agenda must move together. “While our brave security personnel are protecting the peace on the ground, the union government is simultaneously pushing forward major infrastructure and development projects. This combination of security, stability and development is creating a new environment of confidence across Jammu Kashmir,” the BJP leader said.

Suri expressed confidence that the people of Jammu Kashmir would continue to reject violence and support the region’s transformation into a peaceful and prosperous destination. “Jammu Kashmir is moving forward, and nobody will be permitted to turn the clock back. Terror may attempt to raise its head, but the resolve of the nation is stronger. The era of fear must end, and the era of peace, development and prosperity must continue,” Suri said.
