The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: BJP today expressed sorrow over loss of human life as well as property due to devastation caused by rains, flash floods and cloud bust in different areas of J&K specially in Jammu region.

In a press statement issued today Parimoksh Seth Spokesperson BJP said that while the BJP Leadership and workers are working day in and day out to help the people in rescue operation, the National Conference Government as well as the workers of NC are missing from the ground with no help pouring in from the NC government as well as from the workers of the NC.

Jammu region is passing through a very difficult time due to incessant rains, flash floods and cloud bust which has caused extensive damage both to human life as well as to the property but Dr Farooq Abdullah is more interested in playing politics even during this difficult time. The statement of NC President demanding restoration of statehood at this junction is an example of his insensitivity towards the suffering of people.

The MP’s & MLA’s belonging of BJP have contributed more than Rs 30 crores from their CDF for the relief and rehabilitation of the people who have suffered during this difficult time. During this difficult time while the workers of BJP are working shoulder to shoulder to provide relief & rehabilitation to the people and are organising relief & rehabilitation camps for the welfare of people, the leaders &  workers of NC are missing from the ground and are not at all concerned about the suffering of the people.

The statement of NC President regarding restoration of statehood in the present crisis is just at attempt to divert the attention of public from the failure of NC government which has failed to provide basic amenities during this difficult time as Chief Minister, ministers as well as workers of NC are missing from ground when people are suffering. BJP strongly condemns the statement issued by NC President regarding restoration of statehood during present crisis and calls upon NC president to tell the people what role the NC government and its workers have played for welfare of people during present crisis.

BJP strongly condemns and criticises the role of the NC government & Leadership of NC for inadequate responses and help to the people who are suffering during present crisis as NC government is missing from the ground and their president is playing politics over the suffering of the people. Parimoksh Seth also criticised the statement of NC President wherein he raised fingers on Security centric approach of the central govt. Seth applaused the role of Security forces for maintaining law and order in J&K and for helping in relief & rehabilitation of people.

In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family
