JAMMU: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA), accompanied by State General Secretary and Incharge Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan Gopal Mahajan, chaired a meeting of senior party leaders to review preparations for the ‘Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang’ (Colours of Service, With the Nation) programme at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The programme is being organized under the month-long Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and commemorate 25 years of his relentless public service, first as Chief Minister of Gujarat and thereafter as Prime Minister of India. The initiative aims to take the message of public service, national commitment and people-centric development to the grassroots level.
J&K BJP Vice President and Convenor of the programme Rekha Mahajan, State Secretary Arun Sharma, Spokesperson Dr. Tahir Choudhary, Co-Incharges Prerna Nanda and Santosh Sharma, along with other senior party leaders, participated in the meeting.
Sat Sharma said that ‘Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang’ will give a creative and meaningful expression to the spirit of service towards the nation. He said that the programme will showcase, through Rangoli, the public welfare initiatives of the Modi government, national symbols, the vision of Viksit Bharat, and the spirit of national unity and service.
Sharma further said that the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan will be formally launched on September 17, on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ and blood donation programmes. He called upon the party cadre as well as the general public to actively participate in the month-long Abhiyan and make it a collective expression of service, social responsibility and commitment towards the nation.
Gopal Mahajan said that the campaign is being designed to ensure that the message of service reaches every section of society. He said that ‘Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang’ will involve party workers and citizens in highlighting the journey of development and public welfare through creative expressions.
Rekha Mahajan said that Rangoli has a strong cultural connection with the people and provides an effective medium to communicate the message of national pride and social service. She said that the programme will creatively portray welfare schemes, national symbols and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
