The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU Sham Choudhary, J&K BJP Vice-President & former Minister, accompanied by Ricky Gupta, SEM listened to the public grievances at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Issues related to water, road, electricity, construction & repair of lanes, drain, water logging and others were raised before the former Minister for their prompt redressal.

Former Minister immediately took the issues presented by the people with the concerned department officials telephonically and made written communications for certain issues.

Listening to the public grievances, Sham Choudhary pressed for the early redressal of the public concerning issues. He said that masses have limited access to the knowledge about the working of public concerning departments and as such their personal as well as the local development related issues often linger on for months and years. He insisted that in order to provide an easy access to the people regarding their administration related issues, BJP has deputed its senior leaders to daily listen to and address the issues represented by the people and various deputations at the party headquarters. Ricky Gupta diarized all the issues presented and shared that more than 2 dozen deputations visited the party headquarters.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity.
