The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: Leader of Opposition, Sunil Sharma, today visited Ujala Cygnus Hospital, Srinagar, to personally inquire about the well-being of those injured in the accidental blast that occurred at the Nowgam Police Station. The incident left several individuals wounded, and the LoP’s visit aimed to reassure them of full support during this difficult time.

Upon reaching the hospital, Sharma met the injured persons, interacted with their attendants, and sought detailed briefings from the medical team regarding the nature of injuries and the ongoing treatment. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the doctors, nurses, and staff who are working tirelessly to provide the best possible care.

Sharma conveyed heartfelt wishes for the swift and complete recovery of all the injured. He emphasized that the administration and public representatives must stand shoulder to shoulder with the affected families and ensure that they receive every necessary assistance. The Leader of Opposition was accompanied by NEC Member and Former UT President Ravinder Raina, along with senior BJP leaders, who also visited the patients, expressed solidarity, and prayed for their early recovery.

Sharma assured the families and hospital authorities that he would closely follow up on the treatment and ensure that all required support is provided without delay. He reiterated that the safety and welfare of the people remain the top priority and that such unfortunate incidents must be prevented in the future through better safety protocols and preparedness. The LoP reaffirmed the party’s commitment to stand with the victims and their families during this hour of distress.
