DODA District AYUSH Office, in collaboration with District Administration Doda, celebrated 9th National Ayurveda Day (Dhanwantri Jayanti) with traditional zeal gaiety by organizing a scintillating event here today in the Town Hall. The event was attended by Ayurveda practitioners, experts and enthusiasts who came together to promote the ancient Indian healing system.
Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh inaugurated the programme and free Ayurvedic Medical Camp in the presence of SSP Mohammad Aslam. The lamp lighting ceremony was followed by an informative session on the benefits of Ayurveda. The celebration also included yoga and meditation sessions, highlighting the importance of a balanced lifestyle for overall well-being.
Renowned Ayurveda practitioners and scholars shared their knowledge and insights on the holistic approach to health and wellness aligning with this year's National Ayurveda Day theme "Ayurveda for innovation and Global health".
In his address, the District Development Commissioner emphasized the significance of Ayurveda in the treatment of lifestyle disorders and chronic diseases. He advised people to opt for Ayurveda treatment considering the crucial role it is going to play in the healthcare system in coming times. Attendees at the event were given free consultations and demonstrations of Ayurvedic treatments. IEC and Herbal medicine stalls were put up in the town Hall for the awareness of the people.
The programme was attended by District Program Officer Paramjeet Singh, CMO Dr. Omkar Bhagat, District Ayush Officer Dr Ajay Tikoo, Retired officers and officials of the department, PRIs, local people, and Officials of District Ayush Department Doda.
