BARAMULLA: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv and Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Police in Baramulla in collaboration with Government Degree College Uri organized a Drug Awareness/ Debate Competition at GDC Uri. Participants from GDC Uri, GDC Boniyar, and Seven Government Higher Secondary Schools of Sub-Division Uri took part in the event and expressed their views on the theme of drug abuse and its devastating impact on individuals and society.
The programme aimed to sensitize and educate youth about the harmful effects of drug addiction and to motivate them to play a proactive role in building a drug-free society. A large gathering of students, faculty members, and civil society representatives attended the event, making it a successful awareness initiative. The participants were lauded for their enthusiastic participation and thoughtful deliberations.
J&K Police reiterated its commitment to continue such outreach and awareness programmes to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and safeguard the future of youth.
