BANDIPORA: Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta- JKPS, chaired an interactive session with probationary Police Sub-Inspectors at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines Bandipora. The meeting was also attended by senior officers of Bandipora Police.

During the interaction, SSP Bandipora shared his rich professional experience in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). He emphasized the importance of inter-agency coordination among various security forces operating in the Kashmir valley and highlighted the mechanisms that ensure seamless collaboration to maintain internal security.

The session focused on the multifaceted challenges currently faced by the police, including terrorism, cybercrime, law and order issues, and other security-related concerns. SSP also elaborated on the critical roles played by J&K Police in maintaining law and order, conducting Road Opening Parties, ensuring VIP security, facilitating elections, and safeguarding vital installations.

The officers were also briefed on various methods of intelligence gathering in terrorism-related cases and the importance of launching coordinated anti-terrorist operations with minimal or no collateral damage. SSP Bandipora stressed the significance of prompt and accurate intelligence in neutralizing threats effectively.

Encouraging the officers, SSP urged them to serve with dedication, integrity, and professionalism. He emphasized that adherence to the rule of law, fairness, and complete honesty must define their careers. He conveyed his best wishes for their future roles in the Indian Police Service.

Probationary officers also shared their own experiences in dealing with terrorism and other social crimes. They were further briefed on surveillance mechanisms and the security infrastructure in place to counter potential threats.
