KULGAM: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah today chaired a review meeting at Kulgam to assess the expenditure and progress under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

During the meeting, the Director took a detailed appraisal of scheme-wise and component-wise expenditure, physical achievements, and targets realized by the department in the district. He stressed upon the officers to ensure optimum utilization of available funds and timely completion of all approved works to provide maximum benefits to the farming community.

On the occasion Chief Agriculture officer Kulgam gave brief presentation regarding expenditure status under CSS, CAPEX,  HADP and other schemes before the chair. Director highlighted the significance of timely expenditure under HADP, CSS and other interventions in time bound manner which will help in transforming the agriculture sector and directed the officers to maintain close coordination with field functionaries for effective implementation. 

He further emphasized on the need for transparency, accountability, and result-oriented execution of all centrally and state-sponsored programmes. The Director urged the officers to maintain a constant interface with farmers, encourage adoption of modern technologies and innovative practices, and ensure that the benefits of schemes reach the grassroot level.
