SRINAGAR: The three-day annual sports meet for Paramedical and Nursing students of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar concluded today. The event, which began on November 25, 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The concluding ceremony was attended by Principal and Dean GMC Srinagar Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan, Administrator Mohamad Ashraf Hakak, Chief Accounts Officer, Estates Officer and Nodal Officer of the Government BSc Nursing College.
Principal/ Dean GMC Srinagar distributed mementos, trophies, and medals among the winners, participants, and organizers. While addressing the gathering, she complimented the students on their enthusiasm and energy. "Sports play a vital role in decreasing mental stress that students face while adhering to their rigorous academic schedule," she said adding "This sporting event serves as a platform for students to showcase their athletic skills and provides a refreshing break from their academic routines."
The sports meet included a range of competitions such as cricket, volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis, and several other games. Faculty members from the Nursing College and AMT School, along with students, actively participated in the three-day event. This annual sports meet fostered a spirit of healthy competition and encouraged holistic development among participants.
