JAMMU: J&K BJP organized an exhibition on the life and works of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. J&K BJP President Sat Sharma accompanied by General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, MLA Vikram Randhawa, former Minister Priya Sethi, Tilak Raj Gupta, Balbir Ram Rattan, Dr Pardeep Mahotra, Prof Kulbhushan Mohtra, and other senior leaders of the party inaugurated the Exhibition.
Sat Sharma, while inaugurating the exhibition, said that while Atal ji’s life stands as an exemplary work for the whole generation, it marks our foremost duty to tell the future generations and fellow countrymen about his life and life works. He said that Atal ji led a life of simplicity with high thinking and revolutionized the Indian political system, giving structure to the most formidable opposition to the ruling party in the nation.
He gave voice to the voiceless and ensured reach to the needy and the underprivileged by ensuring the ‘Antodaya’ reached the last person living in the most neglected sections of society. His life and thoughts need to reach everyone in society, stated Sat Sharma, and prompted the party leaders to take the life history and the lessons of his life to the society through similar Exhibitions across the region.
The Exhibition was organized by the Department of Publication led by its Incharge Rajnish Jain and Co-Incharges S. Varinderjeet Singh and Pawan Sharma. The organizers shared that similar Exhibitions would be displayed at the district-level programmes around the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for the whole year to mark this as the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji.
