BARAMULLA: President District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Baramulla Peerzada Qousar Hussain, convened a meeting today at the Commission's office chambers to discuss the pendency of consumer complaints and the enforcement of orders under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
The meeting was attended by district officers, including the Post Master General Baramulla, Executive Engineer PHE Baramulla, Executive Engineers from PHE Sopore, KPDCL Baramulla, REW Baramulla, R&B Baramulla, District Horticulture Officer, and Deputy General Manager of J&K Bank Amargarh Sopore.
During the deliberations, serious concerns were raised over the non-compliance of some departments in responding to Commission notices and orders within the stipulated timeframe.
President emphasized the need for strict adherence to legal provisions and urged that coercive measures, including arrest warrants, could be initiated against defaulters if delays persist.
