POONCH: In a proactive effort to enhance community preparedness and safety, the District Administration Poonch, in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), organized a comprehensive day-long disaster rescue training program for students her in the Auditorium Hall of SKC Government Degree College .
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal was the chief guest. Other notable attendees included the host College Principal, Tehsildar Haveli, other officers, and a large number of enthusiastic students.
Experienced trainers from NDRF and SDRF conducted interactive sessions, demonstrating life-saving techniques, the operations of rescue equipment, and crucial actions to take during natural calamities and emergency situations. Students were engaged in hands-on activities, allowing them to practice vital skills that could potentially save lives.
In his address, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal emphasized the importance of familiarizing oneself with safety measures and the effective use of Disaster Management Kits.
