REASI: The 18th Basic Recruit Training Course (BRTC) Batch started today with a grand inaugural ceremony at STC Talwara. The event marked the formal commencement of training for the newly inducted batch and reflected the Institute’s commitment to excellence, discipline and professional development.
The programme commenced with the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Principal STC Talwara (IPS) M.Y. Kichloo, symbolizing the official inauguration of the training programme for the newly inducted batch. Chief Guest M.Y. Kichloo congratulated all selected candidates on becoming part of the prestigious Police Department and expressed confidence that the trainees would contribute significantly to the department and society.
Earlier, Assistant Principal (Outdoor) Vishal Manhas introduced the outdoor as well as indoor staff to the trainees. He accorded a warm welcome to all the Recruit Constables and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of dedication, integrity and service during their training period and future assignments.
The trainees were briefed about the objectives, training schedule, institutional values and expectations from the batch, while emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, leadership and continuous learning in shaping competent professionals. Trainees were also briefed about cybercrime awareness to instill digital responsibility, cyber hygiene, and awareness so that they remain vigilant, informed and capable of protecting themselves from emerging cyber threats.
