YOL:- At the ongoing 78-day Yajna ritual dedicated to all four Vedas at the Vedic Temple in Yol, Himachal Pradesh, the 36th day of the spiritual discourse featured teachings by renowned Vedic scholar and Yoga Acharya Swami Ram Swarup from Rigveda Mandal 10, Sukta 33.

Addressing devotees, Swami Ram Swarup explained why human beings should engage in the praise, worship and prayer of the Almighty. Referring to the first mantra, he said that an ordinary human being seeks inspiration from learned scholars who impart Vedic knowledge. Only through such divine guidance does a person realise and experience God within the heart, while life energies also begin to protect the individual.

He stated that in the absence of Vedic wisdom, human beings remain trapped in suffering caused by diseases, fear and death, resulting in continuous sorrow and distress in worldly life.

The Yoga Acharya further said that without the guidance of a true Guru and Vedic teachings, neither men nor women can attain knowledge of the eternal God or understand the path of Vedic worship. In the absence of divine knowledge and spiritual practice, lasting happiness remains unattainable.

Explaining the second mantra, Swami Ram Swarup said that the soul experiences suffering even before birth while residing in the mother’s womb and continues to face pain during old age and throughout life due to fear of death and worldly attachments.

Summarising the essence of the discourse, he said that without receiving and practising Vedic knowledge from learned scholars, the soul continues to suffer through the cycle of birth and death. He added that compassionate God has therefore guided humanity through Rigveda Mantra 10/33/5 to attain salvation and eternal bliss through prayer, worship, meditation and Yoga practice after attaining human birth.
