RAMBAN: To ensure smooth and peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Azha, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gool, Imtiaz Ahmed today chaired a meeting of officers and religious leaders to review the arrangements being put in place across the sub-division for the upcoming festival.
The meeting focused on ensuring uninterrupted public services, sanitation, transport facilities, healthcare support, and the availability of essential commodities during the festive days.
Detailed discussions were held regarding security measures, traffic management, sanitation drives, uninterrupted water and electricity supply, healthcare preparedness, and market checking activities. The SDM stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all departments to facilitate hassle-free celebrations for the public.
The SDM directed the concerned departments to ensure smooth transport services on all major routes during the Eid days. The Rural Development Department was instructed to carry out comprehensive sanitation drives around mosques, shrines, and Eidgahs in coordination with local committees to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
The Health Department was asked to keep ambulances and medical teams ready at major congregation points to deal with any emergency situation. Similarly, the Power Development Department and Jal Shakti Department were directed to ensure uninterrupted electricity and water supply throughout the festive period.
The SDM also instructed market checking teams to intensify inspections to ensure the availability of quality essential commodities and to prevent overpricing or black marketing.
