SRINAGAR: Vice Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority (JKLCMA), Khurshid Ahmad Shah, today visited Tailbal, Batapora, Habak Shanpora and Baghi Chandpora areas to inspect various inflow channels of Dal Lake and review the status of land acquired by the Authority on the ground.
The Vice Chairman was accompanied by the Collector, Naib Tehsildar, Patwaris and other senior officers of the Authority. During the visit, the Vice Chairman stressed the importance of proper maintenance of inflow channels, protection of Authority land from encroachments and ensuring planned development in environmentally sensitive areas.
He also directed the officers to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and take necessary measures for preservation and sustainable management of Authority assets.
