UDHAMPUR: A meeting to review the working of Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC) System- Udhampur was held in the Conference Hall of District Court Complex. The meeting was chaired by Sub-Judge/Secretary District legal services Authority (DLSA) Udhampur Sumati Sharma. The meeting was attended by the Chief LADC, Deputy LADCs and Assistant LADCs, along with their supporting staff.
The meeting assessed the performance of LADCs and support staff, with emphasis on timely case filings, court appearances and quality of legal assistance. The DLSA Secretary examined the number of cases assigned to each counsel, number of cases disposed of and the number of cases pending. The Secretary directed the LADCs to ensure timely disposal of cases and proper maintenance of records.
