DODA: The Department of Floriculture, Parks and Gardens organized a one-day Kissan Goshti (interactive meet) here at Trown Panchayat in Block Bhalla. Assistant Floriculture Officer for Pawan Kumar led the discussions on commercial floriculture activities in the district. He provided insights into the cultivation of aromatic crops such as lavender and rosemary, emphasizing their economic potential.
Farmers shared experiences and challenges related to marigold and lavender cultivation, seeking guidance on best practices. Prominent progressive growers, including Bharat Bhushan and Kunj Lal, attended the meet and praised the department's ongoing support. Former Sarpanch of Trown Panchayat, Riyaz Ahmed, commended the department for organizing awareness programs that aim to uplift the socio-economic status of the farming community.
