DC Budgam inspects ongoing construction & allied works at Distt Hqs.

• Assesses progress of upgradation works at Sheikh-ul-Alam Skill Centre, Old DC office

BUDGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam Akshay Labroo today conducted a firsthand review of various ongoing developmental projects at the District Headquarters, here. The DC reviewed the ongoing construction of the CourtRoom, Public Waiting Room and Electric Control Room along with other allied works. The works on all fronts are going on at an accelerated pace and have reached their final stages.

He instructed the executing agencies to maintain the momentum and ensure completion with full compliance to safety standards and quality. The DC also inspected the Sheikh-ul-Alam Skill Centre at the Old DC Office Complex and noted that the construction work is nearing completion. He emphasized the need to expedite the final touches to make the center operational soon, as it will serve as a hub for skill development and capacity-building programs for the youth of Budgam.

During his visit to the Old DC Office Complex, the DC expressed satisfaction with the progress of renovation work, which is also nearing completion. He reiterated the importance of preserving the structure while ensuring its functionality to cater to the needs of the public in the district.

The DC further inspected the Public Toilet Complex, where the construction work is in the final stages. He stressed the need for ensuring accessibility, cleanliness, and proper maintenance once the facility becomes operational for the benefit of the visiting public and to provide improved sanitation facilities. These projects, once completed, will significantly enhance the infrastructure and services available to the public, contributing to the overall development of the district. Besides, ADDC, ADC, CPO, Dy.DEO, Executive Engineer R&B and other concerned officials were also present during the inspection.
