NEW DELHI: With the objective of promoting Hindi globally, preserving India’s linguistic and cultural heritage, and connecting the younger generation with Hindi, the Vishwarang Foundation (India) and Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal are jointly organising the Vishwarang International Hindi Olympiad 2026. The Olympiad will be conducted from September 14 (Hindi Day) to September 30 (International Translation Day) across more than 70 countries, including India.
The Vishwarang International Hindi Olympiad aims to present Hindi not merely as a subject, but as an important language of global communication, literature, culture and knowledge. Through the Olympiad, students learning and studying Hindi in different countries will receive a common international platform to showcase their language skills.
Students to Participate at Six Levels
Santosh Choubey, Director, Vishwarang, and Chancellor, Rabindranath Tagore University, said that students from Class 1 to postgraduate level in India, and students from Level 1 to Level 6 internationally, will have the opportunity to participate across six different levels. The Olympiad will provide students who read, write, speak and understand Hindi in India and abroad with a common global platform.
He said that the Vishwarang International Hindi Olympiad, through its expansive format, is an important initiative to connect Hindi with the younger generation across the world. In India, the school-level examination will be conducted online for students from Classes 1 to 12, while the college-level examination will cover undergraduate and postgraduate categories. The competition will also be conducted online at the international level.
INR 1 Crore in Prizes; Certificates for All Participants
The Olympiad will offer an attractive total prize pool of INR1 crore for the winners. In addition, every participant will receive a certificate. This will provide students with an opportunity to showcase their Hindi language proficiency on national as well as international platforms.
