The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: A deputation of Left-out National Youth Corps (NYC) employees from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir today called upon J&K BJP President Sat Sharma at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, seeking intervention for their re-engagement. J&K BJP General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, and Gopal Mahajan, besides BJP leaders Veenu Khanna, Parduman Singh, Hari Dutt and others were also present

The deputation informed Sharma that when the re-engagement process of NYCs commenced in 2017, the Finance Department had approved 6,069 vacancies for deployment across different government departments. Out of these, 5,448 NYCs were re-engaged, while 571 remained excluded due to various administrative and procedural reasons.

Highlighting their prolonged struggle, the members urged for the re-engagement of these remaining 571 NYCs, stressing that many have been waiting for years despite fulfilling eligibility criteria.

Listening to their concerns with empathy, Sat Sharma assured the deputation of all possible assistance. He immediately wrote to the concerned authorities, urging prompt and fair action to eliminate any irregularities and ensure justice for the aggrieved youth.

Sharma emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always focused on channelising the energy and talent of the youth for nation-building, and the BJP remains committed to their welfare and productive engagement. He reiterated that the party would stand firmly with the affected NYCs until their genuine demands are addressed.

The deputation expressed gratitude to Sat Sharma for his swift response and proactive approach, hoping that their long-pending issue would now be resolved without further delay.
