The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: Aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build Atmanirbhar villages, Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, MLA Ramnagar, today spearheaded a massive developmental blitz across the constituency. By formally kick-starting and inaugurating a series of high-impact projects, Dr. Bhardwaj reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to infrastructure-led growth and the socio-economic upliftment of the hilly region. The day’s proceedings were headlined by the commencement of the 4 km PMGSY Road from Main Road Dheeran to Band Baryalta, a project sanctioned at a cost of ₹9.52 crore.

This vital artery, which serves as a long-pending demand of Panchayat Dheeran, was recently digitally inaugurated by MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh. Dr. Bhardwaj, alongside local residents, expressed profound gratitude to both the Prime Minister and Dr. Singh for delivering this "dream project," which is expected to revolutionize rural connectivity and provide a significant boost to the local economy.

It is another road after Bagger to Pachound and Sira morh to Shivgali roads being under construction worth Rs multiple crores to improve rural connectivity in the region. In a major push for the education sector, Dr. Bhardwaj inaugurated two state-of-the-art Smart Classrooms and a new Examination Hall at Government High School, Kaghote, constructed at a cost of ₹1.52 crore. These initiatives are designed to modernize educational infrastructure in the constituency, ensuring that students in rural areas have access to quality learning facilities and digital tools comparable to urban centers. The MLA emphasized that strengthening the foundations of education remains a cornerstone of his developmental agenda.

Recognizing the spiritual and tourism potential of the region, the MLA also inaugurated the completion of the blacktopping of the road leading from the Ramnagar–Basantgarh Main Road to the Tarmayan Temple. Executed at a cost of ₹90 lakh, this project improves access to the revered Baba Vasuki Naag shrine. Nestled in breathtaking pine-clad surroundings, the temple is a prominent destination for pilgrims and tourists alike; the enhanced accessibility is set to attract thousands of additional visitors, thereby creating fresh livelihood opportunities for the local community.

Under Dr Bhardwaj’s stewardship, Ramnagar is witnessing an unprecedented surge in sanctioned works worth crores. Recent highlights include ₹18.25 crore for Government College Basantgarh, ₹3 crore for a new matador stand to decongest Ramnagar town, and ₹1 crore for the modernization of Raja Ram Singh Stadium. Further investments include over 35 school buildings, such as HS Baryalta and HS Kulwanta, alongside critical irrigation and bridge projects like the ₹2.06 crore motorable bridge from Ghordi Khas to Jandrore, rs 1.2 crores Hansa-Jorh foot bridge, Rs 1.75 crores Katwalt -Sullain water Khul, along with numerous road projects. Dr. Bhardwaj concluded by reaffirming that his top priorities—infrastructure, education, health, and connectivity—will continue to drive inclusive and sustainable progress for every village in the constituency.
