The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today said that the government has developed an online portal for availing various revenue services for the ease of public. The Minister said this while replying to a question on behalf of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, asked by MLA, Surinder Kumar.

The Minister informed the house that the Revenue department has developed an online portal ‘jkrevenue.nic.in’ for application of CLU in order to ensure ease of process for the applicant. She added that with this portal an applicant has no need to visit any government office for availing such services.

The Minister also quoted Section 133 A, Proviso 2, “Provided further that holder of any Agriculture land may construct a residential house or erect farm building, grain storage, primary processing of Agriculture Produce, wells or tanks or make any other improvements thereon for residential purpose or Agricultural improvement, on intimation to the Tehsildar concerned, however, the plinth area of such building or improvement shall not exceed four hundred Square meters in total”. The Minister also assured the house that any issue faced by the public on this account will be addressed promptly.
