UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting of officers to review and approve the proposed Scale of Finance for Agriculture and allied sectors for the financial year 2025-26. The meeting witnessed detailed deliberations on various aspects of the proposed Scale of Finance, aligning with the cost of cultivation across multiple sectors, including Kisan Credit Card, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Sericulture and Floriculture activities in District Udhampur.

During the meeting, the DC underscored the importance of enhancing the Scale of Finance, stating that setting appropriate financial parameters for agricultural and allied activities would enable farmers to access credit facilities seamlessly. She emphasised the need for close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the timely and adequate flow of credit to farmers, thereby boosting agricultural productivity and income.
