SAMBA: On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, observed on September 10, 2024, the RBSK Team B Ramgarh, Samba organized a significant lecture today at Higher Secondary School, Ramgarh aimed to raising awareness about suicide prevention and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. The event was held under the able guidance of the Chief Medical Officer Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhatial, and the Block Medical Officer Ramgarh, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh.
Dr. Shivali Sharma, & Dr. Swati, Medical Officers along with their dedicated RBSK Team B, delivered an insightful presentation focusing on the importance of mental health and strategies to prevent suicide. The lecture aimed to educate students on mental health issues, encourage open discussions, and provide practical approaches to support those in need.
The programme was meticulously planned to enhance understanding of mental health challenges and empower the community with knowledge and tools for prevention. By fostering an environment of awareness and support, the initiative sought to make a meaningful impact on both individual lives and the broader community. The week-long activities by RBSK Team B Ramgarh will include interactive sessions and various initiatives aimed at educating and engaging students on the critical issue of suicide prevention.
