BARAMULLA: The Youth Services and Sports Department in Baramulla is abuzz with activity as it continues to host inter-school zonal level competitions across the district, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among young athletes.
In Zone Wagoora, an inter-school zonal level Volleyball and Kho-Kho competition for U17 girls was organized at HSS Kreeri. The event saw an impressive turnout, with 143 students from various Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools participating. The young athletes showcased their skills and competitive spirit, making the event a resounding success.
Similarly, Zone Nehalpora held a Kabaddi inter-school zonal level competition for boys under the age group of U14. The competition took place at the sports field of Govt BMS School Warpora Nehalpora, with 53 players demonstrating their talent and enthusiasm in this traditional sport.
Additionally, Zone Dangerpora organized inter-school Kabaddi competitions for U14 and U17 boys at HS ground Shiva. The event featured 32 teams in the U14 category and 20 teams in the U17 category. The competitions highlighted the students' dedication and passion for Kabaddi, contributing to a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
