RAMBAN: A significant district-level meeting of the Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), Ramban unit was convened today at Batote under the chairmanship of State President Shri Ratan Lal Sharma. The event drew active participation from educators and dedicated karyakartas representing various educational institutions across the district.
The primary objective of the meeting was to rejuvenate the organizational structure at the district level and to deliberate on the pressing issues confronting the teaching fraternity. In a notable development, a new district body of ABRSM was unanimously elected, mirroring the collective will and aspirations of the local teaching community.
Dr. Ramparshad Singh Manhas was elected as the District President, tasked with leading the Ramban unit with renewed commitment and vision. The following office bearers were also announced:

The meeting featured in-depth discussions on a range of issues critical to the teaching community, including:
Annual Transfer Drive
Timely conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings
Implementation of a transparent transfer policy for Grade II and III teachers
Restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS)
Rationalisation of teaching staff
Administrative reforms to improve service conditions and career progression
Speakers unanimously emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and timely execution of teacher welfare policies. They underscored that these steps are vital not only for boosting morale among educators but also for enhancing the overall quality of education in the region.
In his address, Dr. Ramparshad Singh Manhas reaffirmed ABRSM’s firm dedication to championing the rights and dignity of teachers. He encouraged all members to remain united and proactive in addressing challenges and advancing the educational cause. “The Mahasangh will leave no stone unturned in securing justice, respect, and career security for every teacher,” he asserted.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge by all attendees to strengthen their commitment toward improving the education sector and advocating for the rightful interests of teaching professionals.
