- 4th Engineering Education Excellence Awards: Honouring the Pioneers of Knowledge and Innovation
KOLKOTA: The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is all set to host the 17th IEI Industry Excellence Awards 2024 on December 19, 2024, at the Novotel Hotel & Residences, Kolkata. This landmark edition will honour organisations with unparalleled innovation, operational excellence, and leadership in shaping India’s engineering future. With an overwhelming number of nominations under various categories this year, the awards continue to reflect the growing competitiveness and ingenuity of the nation’s engineering landscape.
Since 2008, the IEI Industry Excellence Awards have been a symbol of distinction, celebrating organisations that set productivity, quality, safety, and sustainability benchmarks. The awards are conferred after a comprehensive review of a company’s business operations, financial performance, environmental initiatives, research and development efforts, corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, and governance policies. This rigorous evaluation process ensures that the winners exemplify the best of India’s engineering and industrial capabilities. This year’s awards will recognise achievements across three major categories: Engineering Manufacturing and Processing (EMP), Engineering Services and Consultancy (ESC), and Engineering Organizations in the Construction Industry (ECI). Each category is further divided into subcategories based on turnover, providing equal opportunities for MSMEs and large corporations to showcase their accomplishments.
The 4th edition of IEI Engineering Education Excellence Awards 2024, shall be presented alongside the Industry Excellence Awards, honour outstanding contributions to engineering education and research. These awards recognise achievements across categories such as Best Engineering Institution, and Excellence in Research and Development, highlighting institutions who set benchmarks in outstanding teaching and latest innovations.
The selection process for the awards was as rigorous as ever, with nominees undergoing thorough evaluations against a set of stringent criteria. Separate committees are spearheading this process.
The 17th edition of the Industrial awards promises to be a grand presentation with engaging sessions designed to foster collaboration and innovation. An Industry-Academia Interface will bring together thought leaders to discuss synergies between research and practical applications. Additionally, an exclusive B2B forum will provide opportunities for networking and exploring strategic partnerships. The eminent jury members for two Award Committee were drawn from various parts of India.
