RAMBAN: In a spirited display of community engagement and environment responsibility, 12 RR (GRENADIERS) of the Indian Army in collaboration with the students of Banihal today organized a comprehensive cleanliness drive.
The event began with a pledge to protect natural resources and safeguard the ozone layer for future generations. Volunteers actively participated in cleaning public areas, removing plastic waste and planting saplings to promote eco-friendly practices. Awareness talks and interactive sessions were also held to highlight the importance of reducing pollution and preserving the ozone layer.
Speaking on the occasion, Officers from 12 RR (GRENADIERS) said āThis Collaboration with youth reinforces the importance of collective responsibility towards a cleaner India. It is heartening to see such enthusiasm and sense of responsibility amongst the studentsā. This cleanliness drive is part of the Armyās ongoing civic action program aimed at fostering strong civil-military relations and promoting social welfare in the environment.
