DODA: As part of the ongoing week-long celebrations themed “Vande Mataram”, the Government Dy. SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College, Kastigarh organized a Campus Cleanliness drive amid participation from students, faculty and non-teaching staff. The event aimed to promote the values of patriotism, civic sense and environmental consciousness among the youth.

The students and faculty members actively cleaned classrooms, corridors, lawns, and the campus surroundings, fostering a spirit of teamwork and responsibility. The drive was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, the College Principal. He emphasized that cleanliness reflects one’s discipline, respect for the environment and devotion to the nation. He further encouraged students to imbibe cleanliness as a daily habit and take pride in maintaining hygienic surroundings, aligning with the principles of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Head of Department of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Sumit Kotwal motivated the students to play a proactive role in keeping their environment green and clean, underscoring that true patriotism lies in collective action for societal betterment. Other faculty members, including Dr. Arjun Singh and Dr. Anupam Lata also participated in the initiative. The program concluded with a pledge by all participants to continue such efforts in the future.
